The scientific library was pleased to welcome the second-year students of the specialty "Library, Information and Archival Studies" of Dnipro Transport and Economic Vocational College.

The excursion for potential students of DNU began with an acquaintance with the first books of Katerynoslav. Publications containing seals and gift inscriptions of Katerynoslav leaders and unique copies belonging to the first editions of the scientific library were presented.

Ancient books aroused interest and professional questions from future specialists in the book business. The guests' attention was attracted by the collections of publications of the Shevchenko Scientific Society and individual copies — samples of the printing design of Katerynoslav publishing houses.

After the excursion into the history of the book, the students immersed themselves in the world of modern publications, electronic resources and information services.

They received positive emotions visiting the book storage department, where they got acquainted with modern editions of Ukrainian book printing and with unusual locations and space of the book storage.

The meeting ended with the presentation of flyers with current information about the library and an invitation to further communication.
