Easter Miracle
On the 16th of April 2016 the Library took part in the event “Easter Miracle”.
The event is held every year by Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology and Study of Art.
An interesting book exposition “My Dear Ukraine” is presented in the Reading room of social and human sciences (Room 416). It consists of 97 books and periodicals. The exposition contains the following sections:
1. Ukrainian Folk Art – Wonderland of Beauty and Love;
2. The priceless treasure – Easter Eggs;
3. Folk Embroidery – a Melody of Soul.
The visitors liked the book by Yu. Datchenko which tells about history of Easter eggs in Katerinoslav.
The exposition also presents traditional Easter symbols – Easter eggs, drawings, patterns with traditional Ukrainian decorative painting Petrikivka and embroidery works. Librarians O.M.Syukh and Y.M.Stets present their best artworks made in high professional level.
You can visit the exposition “My Dear Ukraine” until May, 19 (Reading room of social and human sciences, Room 416).
